Pharaoh'sservantssaidto him, "Howlongwill thisman be a snareto us? Letthe mengo,that they may servethe LORDtheir God.Do you not realizethat Egyptis destroyed?"
A fruitfullandinto a saltwaste,Becauseof the wickednessof those who dwellin it.
The Egyptiansurgedthe people,to sendthem out of the landin haste,for they said,"We will allbe dead."
"They shall not livein your land,becausethey will make you sinagainst Me; for [if] you servetheir gods,it will surelybe a snareto you."
"The Egyptiansshall knowthat I am the LORD,when I stretchout My handon Egyptand bringout the sonsof Israelfrom their midst."
Then the magicianssaidto Pharaoh,"Thisis the fingerof God."But Pharaoh'sheartwas hardened,and he did not listento them, as the LORDhad said.
By transgressionan evilmanis ensnared,But the righteoussingsand rejoices.
And I discoveredmorebitterthandeaththe womanwhoseheartis snaresand nets,whose handsare chains.Onewhois pleasingto Godwill escapefrom her, but the sinnerwill be capturedby her.
"You will not be unitedwith them in burial,Becauseyou have ruinedyour country,You have slainyour people.May the offspringof evildoersnot be mentionedforever.
Awake,awake,puton strength,O armof the LORD;Awakeas in the daysof old,the generationsof longago.Was it not You who cutRahabin pieces,Who piercedthe dragon?
"Moabis broken,Her littleoneshave soundedout a cry[of distress].
SuddenlyBabylonhas fallenand been broken;Wailoverher! Bringbalmfor her pain;Perhapsshe may be healed.
Neithertheir silvernortheir goldWill be ableto deliverthem On the dayof the LORD'Swrath;And allthe earthwill be devouredIn the fireof His jealousy,For He will makea completeend,Indeeda terrifyingone, Of allthe inhabitantsof the earth.
ThisI sayfor your ownbenefit;not to puta restraintupon you, but to promotewhat is appropriateand [to secure] undistracteddevotionto the Lord.
knowwith certaintythat the LORDyour Godwill not continueto drivethesenationsout from beforeyou; but they will be a snareand a trapto you, and a whipon your sidesand thornsin your eyes,untilyou perishfrom offthisgoodlandwhichthe LORDyour Godhas givenyou.
