Fathers,do not provokeyour childrento anger,but bringthem up in the disciplineand instructionof the Lord.

Disciplineyour sonwhilethereis hope,And do not desirehis death.
Foolishnessis boundup in the heartof a child;The rodof disciplinewill removeit farfrom him.
Trainup a childin the wayhe should go, Evenwhenhe is oldhe will not departfrom it.
The rodand reproofgivewisdom,But a childwho getshis own waybringsshameto his mother.
Correctyour son,and he will giveyou comfort;He will also delightyour soul.

SOTHAT IT MAY BE WELLWITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONGON THE EARTH.
"Onlygiveheedto yourself and keepyour souldiligently,sothat you do not forgetthe thingswhichyour eyeshave seenand they do not departfrom your heartallthe daysof your life;but makethem knownto your sonsand your grandsons.
You shall teachthem diligentlyto your sonsand shall talkof them when you sitin your houseand when you walkby the wayand when you liedownand when you riseup.
Fathers,do not exasperateyour children,sothat they will not lose heart.
For I am mindfulof the sincerefaithwithinyou, whichfirstdweltin your grandmotherLoisand your motherEunice,and I am surethat [it is] in you as well.
and that from childhoodyou have knownthe sacredwritingswhich are ableto give you the wisdomthat leadsto salvationthroughfaithwhich is in ChristJesus.
"Ifit is disagreeablein your sightto servethe LORD,choosefor yourselves todaywhomyou will serve:whetherthe godswhichyour fathersservedwhichwere beyondthe River,or the godsof the Amoritesin whoselandyou are living;but as for me and my house,we will servethe LORD."
