"You shall not addto the wordwhichI am commandingyou, nortakeawayfrom it, that you may keepthe commandmentsof the LORDyour GodwhichI commandyou.
That they should puttheir confidencein GodAnd not forgetthe worksof God,But keepHis commandments,
Do not addto His wordsOrHe will reproveyou, and you will be proveda liar.
The conclusion,when allhas been heard,[is]: fearGodand keepHis commandments,becausethis[applies to] everyperson.
"Thussaysthe LORD,Standin the courtof the LORD'Shouse,and speakto allthe citiesof Judahwho have cometo worship[in] the LORD'Shouseallthe wordsthat I have commandedyou to speakto them. Do not omita word!
"For trulyI sayto you, untilheavenand earthpassaway,not the smallestletterorstrokeshall passfrom the Lawuntilallis accomplished.
"You have heardthat it was said,YOU SHALL LOVEYOUR NEIGHBORand hateyour enemy.'
Brethren,I speakin termsof humanrelations:even thoughit is [only] a man'scovenant,yetwhen it has been ratified,no onesets it asideoradds conditionsto it.
In the fortiethyear,on the first[day] of the eleventhmonth,Mosesspoketo the childrenof Israel,according to allthat the LORDhad commandedhim [to give] to them,
"WhateverI commandyou, you shall be carefulto do;you shall not addto nortakeawayfrom it.
"Ifa prophetora dreamerof dreamsarisesamongyou and givesyou a signora wonder,
"Moseschargedus with a law,A possessionfor the assemblyof Jacob.
"The LORDcommandedme at that timeto teachyou statutesand judgments,that you might performthem in the landwhereyou are goingoverto possessit.
"So you shall keepHis statutesand His commandmentswhichI am givingyou today,that it may gowellwith you and with your childrenafteryou, and that you may livelongon the landwhichthe LORDyour Godis givingyou for alltime."
"See,I have taughtyou statutesand judgmentsjustas the LORDmy Godcommandedme, that you should dothusin the landwhereyou are enteringto possessit.
Ohthat they hadsucha heartin them, that they would fearMe and keepallMy commandmentsalways,that it may be wellwith them and with their sonsforever!
"So you shall observeto dojustas the LORDyour Godhas commandedyou; you shall not turnasideto the rightor to the left.
"Onlybe strongand verycourageous;be carefulto doaccording to allthe lawwhichMosesMy servantcommandedyou; do not turnfrom it to the rightor to the left,sothat you may havesuccesswhereveryou go.
There was not a wordof allthat Moseshad commandedwhichJoshuadid not readbeforeallthe assemblyof Israelwith the womenand the littleonesand the strangerswho were livingamongthem.
