"For the LORDwill vindicateHis people,And will havecompassionon His servants,WhenHe seesthat [their] strengthis gone,And thereis none[remaining], bondor free.
thereforebehold,I am bringingcalamityon the houseof Jeroboam, and will cutofffrom Jeroboameverymaleperson, both bondand freein Israel, and I will makea cleansweepof the houseof Jeroboam,as one sweepsawaydunguntilit is allgone.
"Behold,I will bringevilupon you, and will utterlysweepyou away,and will cutofffrom Ahabeverymale,both bondand freein Israel;
For the LORDsawthe afflictionof Israel,[which was] verybitter;for there was neitherbondnorfree, norwas thereany helperfor Israel.
For the wholehouseof Ahabshall perish, and I will cutofffrom Ahabeverymaleperson both bondand freein Israel.
And He rememberedHis covenantfor their sake, And relentedaccording to the greatnessof His lovingkindness.
For the LORDwill judgeHis peopleAnd will havecompassionon His servants.
He summonsthe heavensabove,And the earth,to judgeHis people:
The LORDjudgesthe peoples;Vindicateme, O LORD,according to my righteousnessand my integritythat is in me.
Do return,O LORD;howlong[will it be]? And be sorryfor Your servants.
Beforethe LORD,for He is coming,For He is comingto judgethe earth. He will judgethe worldin righteousnessAnd the peoplesin His faithfulness.
So the LORDchangedHis mindaboutthe harmwhichHe saidHe would doto His people.
But the LORDis with me like a dreadchampion;Thereforemy persecutorswill stumbleand not prevail. They will be utterlyashamed, becausethey have failed,With an everlastingdisgracethat will not be forgotten.
"Is EphraimMy dearson? Is he a delightfulchild?Indeed,as oftenas I have spokenagainst him, I certainly[still] rememberhim; ThereforeMy heartyearnsfor him; I will surelyhavemercyon him," declaresthe LORD.
Ifyou will indeedstayin thisland, then I will buildyou up and not tearyou down, and I will plantyou and not uprootyou; for I will relentconcerningthe calamitythat I have inflictedon you.
I heardthe mandressedin linen, whowas abovethe watersof the river,as he raisedhis righthandand his lefttowardheaven, and sworeby Him wholivesforeverthat it would be for a time, times, and half[a [time]; and as soon as they finishshatteringthe powerof the holypeople, allthese[events] will be completed.
Whoknowswhether He will [not] turnand relentAnd leavea blessingbehindHim, [Even] a grain offeringand a drinkofferingFor the LORDyour God?
Then the LORDwill be zealousfor His landAnd will havepityon His people.
For the landwill be abandonedby them, and will makeup for its sabbathswhile it is madedesolatewithoutthem. They, meanwhile, will be makingamendsfor their iniquity, becausethey rejectedMy ordinancesand their soulabhorredMy statutes.
The LORDchangedHis mindaboutthis."It shall not be," saidthe LORD.
The LORDchangedHis mindaboutthis."Thistooshall not be," saidthe LordGOD.
For we knowHim who said,"VENGEANCEIS MINE,I WILL REPAY."And again,"THE LORDWILL JUDGEHIS PEOPLE."
Whenthe LORDraisedup judgesfor them, the LORDwas with the judgeand deliveredthem from the handof their enemiesallthe daysof the judge;for the LORDwas movedto pityby their groaningbecauseof those who oppressedand afflictedthem.
