Then Mosescalledto Joshuaand saidto him in the sightof allIsrael,"Be strongand courageous,for you shall gowith thispeopleinto the landwhichthe LORDhas swornto their fathersto givethem, and you shall giveit to them as an inheritance.
"Be strong,and let us showourselves courageousfor the sakeof our peopleand for the citiesof our God;and may the LORDdowhatis goodin His sight."
"I am goingthe wayof allthe earth.Be strong,therefore, and showyourself a man.
"Thenyou will prosper,ifyou are carefulto observethe statutesand the ordinanceswhichthe LORDcommandedMosesconcerningIsrael.Be strongand courageous,do not fearnorbe dismayed.
He said,"O manof highesteem,do not be afraid.Peacebe with you; takecourageand be courageous!"Now as soon as he spoketo me, I receivedstrengthand said,"May my lordspeak,for you have strengthenedme."
"Howis the land,is it fatorlean?Are theretreesin it ornot? Makean effortthen to getsomeof the fruitof the land."Now the timewas the timeof the firstripegrapes.
and have him standbeforeEleazarthe priestand beforeallthe congregation,and commissionhim in their sight.
For the Lawwas giventhroughMoses;graceand truthwere realizedthroughJesusChrist.
Finally,be strongin the Lordand in the strengthof His might.
Joshuathe sonof Nun,who standsbeforeyou, he shall enterthere;encouragehim, for he will cause Israelto inheritit.
See,I have placedthe landbeforeyou; goin and possessthe landwhichthe LORDsworeto giveto your fathers,to Abraham,to Isaac,and to Jacob,to them and their descendantsafterthem.'
"You shall therefore keepeverycommandmentwhichI am commandingyou today,sothat you may be strongand goin and possessthe landinto whichyou are about to crossto possessit;
But chargeJoshuaand encouragehim and strengthenhim, for he shall goacrossat the headof thispeople,and he will givethem as an inheritancethe landwhichyou will see.'
"Then it shall comeabout, whenmanyevilsand troubleshave comeupon them, that thissongwill testifybeforethem as a witness(for it shall not be forgottenfrom the lipsof their descendants);for I knowtheir intentwhichthey are developingtoday,beforeI have broughtthem into the landwhichI swore."
Then He commissionedJoshuathe sonof Nun,and said,"Be strongand courageous,for you shall bringthe sonsof Israelinto the landwhichI sworeto them, and I will be with you."
"It is the LORDyour Godwho will crossaheadof you; He will destroythesenationsbeforeyou, and you shall dispossessthem. Joshuais the one who will crossaheadof you, justas the LORDhas spoken.
"Be strongand courageous,do not be afraidor trembleat them, for the LORDyour Godis the one who goeswith you. He will not failyou or forsakeyou."
"Nomanwill [be able to] standbeforeyou allthe daysof your life.Justas I have beenwith Moses,I will be with you; I will not failyou or forsakeyou.
"Be strongand courageous,for you shall givethispeoplepossessionof the landwhichI sworeto their fathersto givethem.
