He livedin the wildernessof Paran,and his mothertooka wifefor him from the landof Egypt.
They arosefrom Midianand cameto Paran;and they tookmenwith them from Paranand cameto Egypt,to Pharaohkingof Egypt,who gavehim a houseand assignedhim foodand gavehim land.
Godcomesfrom Teman,And the HolyOnefrom MountParan.Selah.His splendorcoversthe heavens,And the earthis fullof His praise.
and the sonsof Israelsetout on their journeysfrom the wildernessof Sinai.Then the cloudsettleddownin the wildernessof Paran.
From Kibroth-hattaavahthe peoplesetout for Hazeroth,and they remainedat Hazeroth.
Afterward,however, the peoplemovedout from Hazerothand campedin the wildernessof Paran.
they proceededto cometo Mosesand Aaronand to allthe congregationof the sonsof Israelin the wildernessof Paran,at Kadesh;and they broughtbackwordto them and to allthe congregationand showedthem the fruitof the land.
So Mosessentthem from the wildernessof Paranat the commandof the LORD,allof them menwho were headsof the sonsof Israel.
"For we will not havean inheritancewith them on the othersideof the Jordanand beyond,becauseour inheritancehas fallento us on this sideof the Jordantoward the east."
"We ourselveswill crossoverarmedin the presenceof the LORDinto the landof Canaan,and the possessionof our inheritance[shall remain] with us acrossthe Jordan."
They said,"Ifwe have foundfavorin your sight,let thislandbe givento your servantsas a possession;do not takeus acrossthe Jordan."
They journeyedfrom Rimmon-perezand campedat Libnah.
They journeyedfrom Libnahand campedat Rissah.
"The twoand a halftribeshave receivedtheir possessionacrossthe Jordanopposite Jericho,eastwardtoward the sunrising."
You shall givethreecitiesacrossthe Jordanand threecitiesin the landof Canaan;they are to be citiesof refuge.
"So we passedbeyondour brothersthe sonsof Esau,who livein Seir,awayfrom the Arabahroad,awayfrom Elathand from Ezion-geber.And we turnedand passedthroughby the wayof the wildernessof Moab.
Then Mosesand the eldersof Israelchargedthe people,saying,"Keepallthe commandmentswhichI commandyou today.
Theseare the wordsof the covenantwhichthe LORDcommandedMosesto makewith the sonsof Israelin the landof Moab,besidesthe covenantwhichHe had madewith them at Horeb.
So Moseswentand spokethesewordsto allIsrael.
He said,"The LORDcamefrom Sinai,And dawnedon them from Seir;He shoneforthfrom MountParan,And He camefrom the midst of tenthousandholyones;At His righthandthere was flashinglightningfor them.
acrossthe Jordan,in the valleyoppositeBeth-peor,in the landof Sihonkingof the Amoriteswholivedat Heshbon,whomMosesand the sonsof Israeldefeatedwhen they cameout from Egypt.
Then MosessummonedallIsraeland saidto them: "Hear,O Israel,the statutesand the ordinanceswhichI am speakingtodayin your hearing,that you may learnthem and observethem carefully.
"And nowthe LORDyour Godhas givenrestto your brothers,as He spoketo them; therefore turnnowand goto your tents,to the landof your possession,whichMosesthe servantof the LORDgaveyou beyondthe Jordan.
Now to the one half-tribeof ManassehMoseshad given[a possession] in Bashan,but to the other halfJoshuagave[a possession] amongtheir brotherswestwardbeyondthe Jordan.So whenJoshuasentthem awayto their tents,he blessedthem,
the waterswhich were flowingdownfrom abovestood[and] roseup in oneheap,a greatdistanceaway at Adam,the citythat is besideZarethan;and those which were flowingdowntowardthe seaof the Arabah,the SaltSea,were completelycutoff.So the peoplecrossedoppositeJericho.
Now it cameabout when allthe kingswhowere beyondthe Jordan,in the hillcountryand in the lowlandand on allthe coastof the GreatSeatowardLebanon,the Hittiteand the Amorite,the Canaanite,the Perizzite,the Hiviteand the Jebusite,heardof it,
and allthat He didto the twokingsof the Amoriteswhowere beyondthe Jordan,to Sihonkingof Heshbonand to Ogkingof Bashanwhowas at Ashtaroth.
Then Samueldied;and allIsraelgatheredtogether and mournedfor him, and buriedhim at his housein Ramah.And Davidaroseand wentdownto the wildernessof Paran.
