"Thussaysthe LORD,'I will returnto Zionand will dwellin the midstof Jerusalem.Then Jerusalemwill be calledthe Cityof Truth,and the mountainof the LORDof hosts[will be called] the HolyMountain.'
Then you will knowthat I am the LORDyour God,Dwellingin Zion,My holymountain.So Jerusalemwill be holy,And strangerswill passthrough it nomore.
Now whileI was speakingand praying,and confessingmy sinand the sinof my peopleIsrael,and presentingmy supplicationbeforethe LORDmy Godin behalfof the holymountainof my God,
In You, O LORD,I have takenrefuge;Let me neverbe ashamed;In Your righteousnessdeliverme.
We havebecomea reproachto our neighbors,A scoffingand derisionto those aroundus.
In Your righteousnessdeliverme and rescueme; InclineYour earto me and saveme.
"You shall not worshipthem or servethem; for I, the LORDyour God,am a jealousGod,visitingthe iniquityof the fatherson the children,on the thirdand the fourthgenerations of those who hateMe,
Ifwe confessour sins,He is faithfuland righteousto forgiveus our sinsand to cleanseus from allunrighteousness.
For after allit is [only] justfor Godto repaywith afflictionthosewho afflictyou,
Moreover, I will makeyou a desolationand a reproachamong the nationswhichsurroundyou, in the sightof allwho passby.
becauseof allthe evilof the sonsof Israeland the sonsof Judahwhichthey have doneto provokeMe to anger--they, their kings,their leaders,their priests,their prophets,the menof Judahand the inhabitantsof Jerusalem.
I will pursuethem with the sword,with famineand with pestilence;and I will makethem a terrorto allthe kingdomsof the earth,to be a curseand a horrorand a hissing,and a reproachamong allthe nationswhereI have driventhem,
I will makethem a terror[and an] evilfor allthe kingdomsof the earth,as a reproachand a proverb,a tauntand a cursein allplaceswhereI will scatterthem.
Hearmy prayer,O LORD,Giveearto my supplications!Answerme in Your faithfulness,in Your righteousness!
Blessedbe the LORD,the Godof Israel,From everlastingto everlasting.Amenand Amen.
"You foundhis heartfaithfulbeforeYou, And madea covenantwith him To give[him] the landof the Canaanite,Of the Hittiteand the Amorite,Of the Perizzite,the Jebusiteand the Girgashite--To give[it] to his descendants.And You have fulfilledYour promise,For You are righteous.
"The LORDmakespoorand rich;He bringslow,He alsoexalts.
Restoreus, O Godof our salvation,And cause Your indignationtowardus to cease.
On thisaccountthe angerof the LORDhas burnedagainst His people,And He has stretchedout His handagainstthem and struckthem down.And the mountainsquaked,and their corpseslaylike refusein the middleof the streets.For allthisHis angeris not spent,But His handis stillstretchedout.
"Indeedthiscityhas beento Me [a] [provocation of] My angerand My wrathfrom the daythat they builtit, even to thisday,so that it should be removedfrom beforeMy face,
"He will pitchthe tentsof his royalpavilionbetweenthe seasand the beautifulHolyMountain;yet he will cometo his end,and noonewill helphim.
With whichYour enemieshave reproached,O LORD,With whichthey have reproachedthe footstepsof Your anointed.
"You have becomeguiltyby the bloodwhichyou have shed,and defiledby your idolswhichyou have made.Thus you have broughtyour daynearand have cometo your years;thereforeI have madeyou a reproachto the nationsand a mockingto allthe lands.
