ThenAriochhurriedlybroughtDanielinto the king'spresenceand spoketo him as follows:"I have founda manamongthe exilesfrom Judahwhocan makethe interpretationknownto the king!"
Then Pharaohsentand calledfor Joseph,and they hurriedlybroughthim out of the dungeon;and when he had shavedhimself and changedhis clothes,he cameto Pharaoh.
Theseare the peopleof the provincewho cameup from the captivityof the exileswhomNebuchadnezzarthe kingof Babylonhad carriedaway,and who returnedto Jerusalemand Judah,eachto his city,
Deliverthose who are being takenaway to death,And those who are staggeringto slaughter,Ohhold[them] back.
Whateveryour handfindsto do,do[it] with [all] your might;for thereis noactivityor planningor knowledgeor wisdomin Sheolwhereyou are going.
Now among them from the sonsof Judahwere Daniel,Hananiah,Mishaeland Azariah.
ThenDanielwas broughtin beforethe king.The kingspokeand saidto Daniel,"Are you that Danielwhois one of the exilesfrom Judah,whommy fatherthe kingbroughtfrom Judah?
Thenthey answeredand spokebeforethe king,"Daniel,whois one of the exilesfrom Judah,paysnoattentionto you, O king,or to the injunctionwhichyou signed,but keeps makinghis petitionthreetimesa day."
