"From the timethat the regularsacrificeis abolishedand the abominationof desolationis setup, [there will be] 1,290days.
"Now thisis whatyou shall offeron the altar:twoone yearoldlambseach day,continuously.
"When you have completedthese,you shall liedowna secondtime,[but] on your rightsideand bearthe iniquityof the houseof Judah;I have assignedit to you for fortydays,a dayfor each year.
"Pleasetestyour servantsfor tendays,and let us be givensomevegetablesto eatand waterto drink.
"Forcesfrom him will arise,desecratethe sanctuaryfortress,and doawaywith the regularsacrifice.And they will setup the abominationof desolation.
He will speakout againstthe MostHighand weardownthe saintsof the HighestOne,and he will intendto makealterationsin timesand in law;and they will be giveninto his handfor a time,times,and halfa time.
"The visionof the eveningsand morningsWhichhas been toldis true;But keepthe visionsecret,For [it] pertains to manydays[in the future]."
"And he will makea firmcovenantwith the manyfor oneweek,but in the middleof the weekhe will puta stopto sacrificeand grain offering;and on the wingof abominations[will come] one who makesdesolate,even untila completedestruction,one that is decreed,is pouredout on the one who makesdesolate."
For the sonsof Israelwill remainfor manydayswithoutkingor prince,withoutsacrificeor [sacred] pillarand withoutephodor householdidols.

"But whenyou seethe ABOMINATIONOF DESOLATIONstandingwhereit shouldnot be (let the readerunderstand),thenthosewhoare in Judeamust fleeto the mountains.
"Leaveout the courtwhich is outsidethe templeand do not measureit, for it has been givento the nations;and they will tread under footthe holycityfor forty-twomonths.
Thenthe womanfledinto the wildernesswhereshe hada placepreparedby God,sothat thereshe would be nourishedfor one thousandtwo hundredand sixtydays.
There was givento him a mouthspeakingarrogantwords and blasphemies,and authorityto actfor forty-twomonthswas givento him.
