For from Israelis even this!A craftsmanmadeit, so it is not God;Surelythe calfof Samariawill be brokento pieces.
while the Egyptianswere buryingalltheir firstbornwhomthe LORDhad struckdownamong them. The LORDhad also executedjudgmentson their gods.
"You shall teardowntheir altarsand smashtheir [sacred] pillarsand burntheir Asherimwith fire,and you shall cutdownthe engravedimagesof their godsand obliteratetheir namefrom that place.
He said,"You have takenaway my godswhichI made,and the priest,and have goneaway, and whatdo I have besides?So howcan you sayto me, 'Whatis [the matter] with you?'"
