"For fortyyearsI loathed[that] generation,And saidthey are a peoplewho errin their heart,And they do not knowMy ways.
And on that samedaythe LORDbroughtthe sonsof Israelout of the landof Egyptby their hosts.
"I am the LORDyour God,whobroughtyou out of the landof Egypt,out of the houseof slavery.
"So I have comedownto deliverthem from the powerof the Egyptians,and to bringthem up from that landto a goodand spaciousland,to a landflowingwith milkand honey,to the placeof the Canaaniteand the Hittiteand the Amoriteand the Perizziteand the Hiviteand the Jebusite.
"They did not say,'Whereis the LORDWho broughtus up out of the landof Egypt,Who ledus through the wilderness,Through a landof desertsand of pits,Through a landof droughtand of deepdarkness,Through a landthat noonecrossedAnd wherenomandwelt?'
"So I tookthem out of the landof Egyptand broughtthem into the wilderness.
Hearthiswordwhichthe LORDhas spokenagainstyou, sonsof Israel,againstthe entirefamilywhichHe broughtup from the landof Egypt:
"Are you not as the sonsof Ethiopiato Me, O sonsof Israel?"declaresthe LORD."Have I not broughtup Israelfrom the landof Egypt,And the Philistinesfrom Caphtorand the Arameansfrom Kir?
"Indeed,I broughtyou up from the landof EgyptAnd ransomedyou from the houseof slavery,And I sentbeforeyou Moses,Aaronand Miriam.
So they gaveout to the sonsof Israela badreportof the landwhichthey had spiedout, saying,"The landthroughwhichwe have gone,in spyingit out, is a landthat devoursits inhabitants;and allthe peoplewhomwe sawin it are menof [great] size.

"For a periodof aboutforty yearsHe putup with them in the wilderness.
"But Godturned awayand deliveredthem up to servethe hostof heaven;as it is writtenin the bookof the prophets,IT WAS NOT TO ME THAT YOU OFFEREDVICTIMSAND SACRIFICESFORTYYEARSIN THE WILDERNESS,WAS IT, O HOUSEOF ISRAEL?
Moreover, your littleoneswhoyou saidwould becomea prey,and your sons,whothis dayhavenoknowledgeof goodor evil,shall enterthere,and I will giveit to them and they shall possessit.
"For the LORDyour Godhas blessedyou in allthat you have done;He has knownyour wanderingsthrough thisgreatwilderness.Thesefortyyearsthe LORDyour Godhas been with you; you have not lackeda thing."'

Then I broughtyou into the landof the Amoriteswho livedbeyondthe Jordan,and they foughtwith you; and I gavethem into your hand,and you tookpossessionof their landwhen I destroyedthem beforeyou.
