And he was talkingand arguingwith the Hellenistic[Jews]; but they were attemptingto put him to death.
But there were someof them, menof Cyprusand Cyrene,whocameto Antiochand [began] speakingto the Greeksalso,preachingthe LordJesus.
Sohe was reasoningin the synagoguewith the Jewsand the God-fearing[Gentiles], and in the market placeeverydaywith thosewho happened to be present.
They cameto Ephesus,and he leftthem there.Nowhe himselfenteredthe synagogueand reasonedwith the Jews.
And he enteredthe synagogueand continued speaking out boldlyfor threemonths,reasoningand persuading[them] aboutthe kingdomof God.
and I sawHim sayingto me, 'Make haste,and getout of Jerusalemquickly,becausethey will not acceptyour testimonyaboutMe.'
Nowat thistimewhile the discipleswere increasing[in number], a complaintaroseon the part of the Hellenistic[Jews] againstthe [native] Hebrews,becausetheir widowswere being overlookedin the dailyserving[of food].
But Barnabastook holdof him and broughthim to the apostlesand describedto them howhe had seenthe Lordon the road,and that He had talkedto him, and howat Damascushe had spoken out boldlyin the nameof Jesus.
And he was with them, movingaboutfreelyin Jerusalem,speaking out boldlyin the nameof the Lord.
[I have been] on frequentjourneys,in dangersfrom rivers,dangersfrom robbers,dangersfrom [my] countrymen,dangersfrom the Gentiles,dangersin the city,dangersin the wilderness,dangerson the sea,dangersamongfalse brethren;
Beloved,while I was makingeveryeffortto writeyou aboutour commonsalvation,I feltthe necessityto writeto you appealingthat you contend earnestlyfor the faithwhich was once for allhanded downto the saints.
But Michaelthe archangel,whenhe disputedwith the deviland arguedaboutthe bodyof Moses,did not darepronounce againsthim a railingjudgment,but said,"The Lordrebukeyou!"
