But when Paulhad gathereda bundleof sticksand laidthem on the fire,a vipercameout becauseof the heatand fasteneditself on his hand.
Whenthe nativessawthe creaturehangingfrom his hand,they [began] sayingto one another,"Undoubtedlythismanis a murderer,and though he has been savedfrom the sea,justicehas not allowedhim to live."
I amunder obligationbothto Greeksand to barbarians,bothto the wiseand to the foolish.
Nowacceptthe one who is weakin faith,[but] not for [the purpose of] passing judgmenton his opinions.
The onewho eatsis not to regard with contemptthe onewho does not eat,and the onewho does not eatis not to judgethe onewho eats,for Godhas acceptedhim.
And he who is physicallyuncircumcised,if he keepsthe Law,will he not judgeyou whothoughhaving the letter[of the Law] and circumcisionare a transgressorof the Law?
IfthenI do not knowthe meaningof the language,I will be to the one who speaksa barbarian,and the one who speakswill be a barbarianto me.
[I have been] in laborand hardship,throughmanysleepless nights,in hungerand thirst,oftenwithout food,in coldand exposure.

Do not neglectto show hospitality to strangers,for by thissomehave entertainedangelswithout knowingit.
