On the next daywe leftand cameto Caesarea,and enteringthe houseof Philipthe evangelist,who was one of the seven,we stayedwith him.
Now[there was] a manat CaesareanamedCornelius,a centurionof what was calledthe Italiancohort,
Whenhe had seenthe vision,immediatelywe soughtto gointo Macedonia,concludingthat Godhad calledus to preach the gospelto them.
And on the Sabbathdaywe wentoutsidethe gateto a riverside,wherewe were supposingthat there would be a place of prayer;and we sat downand began speakingto the womenwho had assembled.
It happenedthat as we were goingto the place of prayer,a slave-girlhavinga spiritof divinationmetus, whowas bringingher mastersmuchprofitby fortune-telling.
When he had landedat Caesarea,he wentup and greetedthe church,and went downto Antioch.
But we, going aheadto the ship,set sailfor Assos,intendingfrom thereto takePaulon board;for sohe had arrangedit, intendinghimselfto go by land.
We sailedfrom Philippiafterthe daysof UnleavenedBread, and cameto them at Troaswithinfivedays;and therewe stayedsevendays.
[Some] of the disciplesfrom Caesareaalsocamewith us, takingus to Mnasonof Cyprus,a discipleof long standingwith whomwe were to lodge.
And he calledto him twoof the centurionsand said,"Gettwohundredsoldiersreadyby the thirdhourof the nightto proceedto Caesarea,with seventyhorsemenand two hundredspearmen."
Whenit was decidedthat we would sailfor Italy,they proceeded to deliverPauland someotherprisonersto a centurionof the AugustancohortnamedJulius.
At the endof threemonthswe set sailon an Alexandrianshipwhich had winteredat the island,and which hadthe Twin Brothersfor its figurehead.
Whenwe enteredRome,Paulwas allowedto stayby himself,with the soldierwho was guardinghim.
The statementfound approvalwith the wholecongregation;and they choseStephen,a manfullof faithand of the HolySpirit,and Philip,Prochorus,Nicanor,Timon,Parmenasand Nicolas,a proselytefrom Antioch.
But when the brethrenlearned[of it], they brought him downto Caesareaand sent him awayto Tarsus.
And He gavesome[as] apostles,and some[as] prophets,and some[as] evangelists,and some[as] pastorsand teachers,
But you, be soberin all things,endure hardship,dothe workof an evangelist,fulfillyour ministry.
