Then we journeyedfrom the riverAhavaon the twelfthof the firstmonthto goto Jerusalem;and the handof our Godwas overus, and He deliveredus from the handof the enemyand the ambushesby the way.
Ifthey say,"Comewith us, Let us liein waitfor blood,Let us ambushthe innocentwithoutcause;
For wickedmenare foundamong My people,They watchlike fowlerslyingin wait;They seta trap,They catchmen.
The newsabout Him spreadthroughoutallSyria;and they broughtto Him allwho were ill,those sufferingwith variousdiseasesand pains,demoniacs,epileptics,paralytics;and He healedthem.
and from thereto Philippi,whichis a leadingcityof the districtof Macedonia,a [Roman] colony;and we were stayingin thiscityfor somedays.
A visionappearedto Paulin the night:a manof Macedoniawas standingand appealingto him, and saying,"Come overto Macedoniaand helpus."
Paul,having remainedmanydayslonger,took leaveof the brethrenand put out to seafor Syria,and with him were Priscillaand Aquila.In Cenchreahe had his haircut,for he was keepinga vow.
Nowafterthese thingswere finished,Paulpurposedin the spiritto goto Jerusalemafter he had passed throughMacedoniaand Achaia,saying,"AfterI have beenthere,I mustalsoseeRome."
Afterthe uproarhad ceased,Paulsentfor the disciples,and when he had exhortedthem and taken his leaveof them, he leftto goto Macedonia.
servingthe Lordwith allhumilityand with tearsand with trialswhich cameupon me throughthe plotsof the Jews;
When he had gone throughthosedistrictsand had giventhem muchexhortation,he cameto Greece.
When we came in sightof Cyprus,leavingit on the left,we kept sailingto Syriaand landedat Tyre;for therethe shipwas to unloadits cargo.
requestinga concessionagainstPaul, that he might have him broughtto Jerusalem([at the same time], settingan ambushto killhim on the way).
In thisconfidenceI intendedat firstto cometo you, sothat you might twicereceivea blessing;
[I have been] on frequentjourneys,in dangersfrom rivers,dangersfrom robbers,dangersfrom [my] countrymen,dangersfrom the Gentiles,dangersin the city,dangersin the wilderness,dangerson the sea,dangersamongfalse brethren;
For evenwhen we cameinto Macedoniaour fleshhadnorest,but we were afflictedon everyside: conflictswithout,fearswithin.
ThenI wentinto the regionsof Syriaand Cilicia.
