At thistimePeterstoodup in the midstof the brethren(a gatheringof aboutone hundredand twentypersonswas there together),and said,
He presentedanotherparableto them, saying,"The kingdomof heavenis likea mustardseed,whicha mantookand sowedin his field;
but I have prayedfor you, that your faithmay not fail;and you, when onceyou have turned again,strengthenyour brothers."
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, he who believesin Me, the worksthat I do,he will doalso;and greater[works] than thesehe will do;becauseI goto the Father.
Thereforethissayingwentout amongthe brethrenthat that disciplewould not die;yetJesusdid not sayto him that he would not die,but [only], "IfI wanthim to remainuntilI come,what[is that] to you?"
Sohe invitedthem in and gave them lodging.And on the next dayhe gotup and went awaywith them, and someof the brethrenfrom Joppaaccompaniedhim.
Nowthe apostlesand the brethrenwho were throughoutJudeaheardthat the Gentilesalsohad receivedthe wordof God.
"The Spirittoldme to gowith them withoutmisgivings.Thesesixbrethrenalsowentwith me and we enteredthe man'shouse.
and when he had foundhim, he broughthim to Antioch.And for an entireyearthey metwith the churchand taughtconsiderablenumbers;and the discipleswere firstcalledChristiansin Antioch.
And in the proportionthat anyof the discipleshad means,eachof them determinedto send[a contribution] for the reliefof the brethrenlivingin Judea.
But motioningto them with his handto be silent,he describedto them howthe Lordhad ledhim out of the prison.And he said,"Reportthese thingsto Jamesand the brethren."Thenhe leftand wentto anotherplace.
But the Jewswho disbelievedstirredup the mindsof the Gentilesand embitteredthem againstthe brethren.
Some mencame downfrom Judeaand [began] teachingthe brethren,"Unlessyou are circumcisedaccording to the customof Moses,you cannotbe saved."
Therefore,being sent on their wayby the church,they were passing throughbothPhoeniciaand Samaria,describing in detailthe conversionof the Gentiles,and were bringinggreatjoyto allthe brethren.
and he was well spokenof by the brethrenwho were in Lystraand Iconium.
They wentout of the prisonand entered[the house of] Lydia,and when they sawthe brethren,they encouragedthem and departed.
The brethrenimmediatelysentPauland Silasawayby nightto Berea,and when they arrived,they wentinto the synagogueof the Jews.
Thenimmediatelythe brethrensentPaulout to goas faras the sea;and Silasand Timothyremainedthere.
When they did not findthem, they [began] draggingJasonand somebrethrenbeforethe city authorities,shouting,"These menwho have upsetthe worldhave comeherealso;
Paul,having remainedmanydayslonger,took leaveof the brethrenand put out to seafor Syria,and with him were Priscillaand Aquila.In Cenchreahe had his haircut,for he was keepinga vow.
And when he wantedto go acrossto Achaia,the brethrenencouragedhim and wroteto the disciplesto welcomehim; and when he had arrived,he greatlyhelpedthosewho had believedthroughgrace,
Afterwe arrivedin Jerusalem,the brethrenreceivedus gladly.
And when they heardit they [began] glorifyingGod;and they saidto him, "You see,brother,how manythousandsthere are amongthe Jewsof thosewho have believed,and they are allzealousfor the Law;
When we had finishedthe voyagefrom Tyre,we arrivedat Ptolemais,and after greetingthe brethren,we stayedwith them for a day.
as alsothe high priestand allthe Council of the elderscan testify.From them I alsoreceivedlettersto the brethren,and startedoff for Damascusin order to bringeventhosewho were thereto Jerusalemas prisonersto be punished.
Therewe found[some] brethren,and were invitedto staywith them for sevendays;and thuswe cameto Rome.
Afterthat He appearedto more thanfive hundredbrethrenat one time,mostof whomremainuntilnow,but somehave fallen asleep;
And in that hourthere was a greatearthquake,and a tenthof the cityfell;seventhousandpeoplewere killedin the earthquake,and the restwere terrifiedand gavegloryto the Godof heaven.
But you havea fewpeoplein Sardiswhohave not soiledtheir garments;and they will walkwith Me in white,for they are worthy.
