and [to give] reliefto you who are afflictedand to us as well whenthe LordJesuswill be revealedfrom heavenwith His mightyangelsin flamingfire,
Now MountSinai[was] allin smokebecausethe LORDdescendedupon it in fire;and its smokeascendedlike the smokeof a furnace,and the wholemountainquakedviolently.
The angelof the LORDappearedto him in a blazingfirefrom the midstof a bush;and he looked,and behold,the bushwas burningwith fire,yet the bushwas not consumed.
He entersinto peace;They restin their beds,[Each one] who walkedin his uprightway.
For behold,the LORDwill comein fireAnd His chariotslike the whirlwind,To renderHis angerwith fury,And His rebukewith flamesof fire.
In the midst of the livingbeingsthere was something that lookedlike burningcoalsof fire,liketorchesdartingbackand forth amongthe livingbeings.The firewas bright,and lightningwas flashingfrom the fire.
"I keptlookingUntilthroneswere setup, And the Ancientof Daystook[His] seat;His vesture[was] like whitesnowAnd the hairof His headlike purewool.His throne[was] ablazewith flames,Its wheels[were] a burningfire.
"For the Sonof Manis goingto comein the gloryof His Fatherwith His angels,and WILL THENREPAYEVERY MANACCORDINGTO HIS DEEDS.
"TrulyI sayto you, there are someof thosewho are standingherewhowill not tastedeathuntilthey seethe Sonof Mancomingin His kingdom."
"But whenthe Sonof Mancomesin His glory,and allthe angelswith Him, thenHe will siton His gloriousthrone.
"ThenHe will alsosayto thoseon His left,Departfrom Me, accursedones, into the eternalfirewhich has been preparedfor the deviland his angels;
Jesussaidto him, "You have saidit [yourself]; neverthelessI tellyou, hereafteryou will seeTHE SONOF MANSITTINGAT THE RIGHT HANDOF POWER,and COMINGON THE CLOUDSOF HEAVEN."
And Jesussaid,"I am;and you shall seeTHE SONOF MANSITTINGAT THE RIGHT HANDOF POWER,and COMINGWITH THE CLOUDSOF HEAVEN."
"For whoeveris ashamedof Me and My wordsin thisadulterousand sinfulgeneration,the Sonof Manwill alsobe ashamedof him whenHe comesin the gloryof His Fatherwith the holyangels."
"But Abrahamsaid,'Child,rememberthat duringyour lifeyou receivedyour good things,and likewiseLazarusbad things;but nowhe is being comfortedhere,and you are in agony.
"It will be justthe sameon the daythat the Sonof Manis revealed.
All thingscameinto beingthroughHim, and apartfrom Him nothingcame into being that has come into being.
And He saidto him, "Truly,truly,I sayto you, you will seethe heavensopenedand the angelsof Godascendingand descendingon the Sonof Man."
They alsosaid,"Menof Galilee,whydo you standlookinginto the sky?ThisJesus,who has been takenup from you into heaven,will comein justthe same wayas you have watchedHim gointo heaven."
"Thereforerepentand return,sothat your sinsmay be wiped away,in orderthat timesof refreshingmay comefrom the presenceof the Lord;
and ifchildren,heirsalso,heirsof Godand fellow heirswith Christ,if indeedwe sufferwith [Him] sothat we may alsobe glorifiedwith [Him].
eachman'sworkwill becomeevident;for the daywill showit becauseit is [to be] revealedwith fire,and the fireitselfwill testthe qualityof each man'swork.
For momentary,lightafflictionis producingfor us an eternalweightof gloryfarbeyondall comparison,
Graceto you and peacefrom Godour Fatherand the LordJesusChrist.
For by Him allthingswere created,[both] in the heavensand on earth,visibleand invisible,whetherthronesordominionsorrulersorauthorities--all thingshave been createdthroughHim and for Him.
sothat He may establishyour heartswithout blamein holinessbeforeour Godand Fatherat the comingof our LordJesuswith allHis saints.
Ifwe endure,we will alsoreignwith Him; Ifwe denyHim, He alsowill denyus;
lookingfor the blessedhopeand the appearingof the gloryof our greatGodand Savior,ChristJesus,
but a terrifyingexpectationof judgmentand THE FURYOF A FIREWHICH WILLCONSUMETHE ADVERSARIES.
for our Godis a consumingfire.
Therefore,let us fearif,while a promiseremainsof enteringHis rest,any oneof you may seemto have come shortof it.
Thereforelet us be diligentto enterthat rest,sothat noonewill fall,through[following] the sameexampleof disobedience.
Sothere remainsa Sabbath restfor the peopleof God.
soChristalso,having been offeredonceto bearthe sinsof many,will appeara second timefor salvationwithout[reference to] sin,to thosewho eagerly awaitHim.
whois at the right handof God,having goneinto heaven,after angelsand authoritiesand powershad been subjectedto Him.
But by His wordthe presentheavensand earthare being reservedfor fire,keptfor the dayof judgmentand destructionof ungodlymen.
justas Sodomand Gomorrahand the citiesaroundthem, since they in the samewayas theseindulged in gross immoralityand wentafterstrangeflesh,are exhibitedas an examplein undergoingthe punishmentof eternalfire.
BEHOLD,HE IS COMINGWITH THE CLOUDS,and everyeyewill seeHim, eventhose whopiercedHim; and allthe tribesof the earthwill mournoverHim. Soit is to be. Amen.
he alsowill drinkof the wineof the wrathof God,which is mixedin full strengthin the cupof His anger;and he will be tormentedwith fireand brimstonein the presenceof the holyangelsand in the presenceof the Lamb.
And I hearda voicefrom heaven,saying,"Write,Blessedare the deadwho diein the Lordfrom nowon!'" "Yes,"saysthe Spirit,"sothat they may restfrom their labors,for their deedsfollowwith them."
ThenI sawa greatwhitethroneand Him who satupon it, from whosepresenceearthand heavenfled away,and noplacewas foundfor them.
and He will wipe awayeverytearfrom their eyes;and there will nolongerbe [any] death;there will nolongerbe [any] mourning,orcrying,orpain;the first thingshave passed away."
"I, Jesus,have sentMy angelto testifyto you these thingsfor the churches.I amthe rootand the descendantof David,the brightmorningstar."
And he saidto me, "Thesewordsare faithfuland true";and the Lord,the Godof the spiritsof the prophets,sentHis angelto showto His bond-servantsthe things whichmustsoontake place.
But he saidto me, "Do not dothat. I ama fellow servantof yoursand of your brethrenthe prophetsand of thosewho heedthe wordsof thisbook.WorshipGod."
And there was givento eachof them a whiterobe;and they were toldthat they should restfor a littlewhilelonger,until[the number of] their fellow servantsand their brethrenwho were to be killedevenas they had been, would be completedalso.
