When the kingof Israelreadthe letter,he torehis clothesand said,"Am I God,to killand to makealive,that thisman is sending[word] to me to curea manof his leprosy?But considernow,and seehowhe is seekinga quarrelagainst me."
Then Jacob'sangerburnedagainst Rachel,and he said,"Am I in the placeof God,whohas withheldfrom you the fruitof the womb?"
Now Reubenreturnedto the pit,and behold,Josephwas not in the pit;so he torehis garments.

She lookedand behold,the kingwas standingby the pillar,according to the custom,with the captainsand the trumpetersbesidethe king;and allthe peopleof the landrejoicedand blewtrumpets.Then Athaliahtoreher clothesand cried,"Treason!Treason!"
Then Eliakimthe sonof Hilkiah,whowas overthe household,and Shebnathe scribeand Joahthe sonof Asaph,the recorder,cameto Hezekiahwith their clothestornand toldhim the wordsof Rabshakeh.
He broughtthe letterto the kingof Israel,saying,"And nowas thislettercomesto you, behold,I have sentNaamanmy servantto you, that you may curehim of his leprosy."
Yet the kingand allhis servantswho heardallthesewordswere not afraid,nordid they rendtheir garments.
"Moreover, the thingwhichthe kingdemandsis difficult,and thereis nooneelsewhocould declareit to the kingexceptgods,whosedwellingplaceis not with [mortal] flesh."
"Come,let us returnto the LORD.For He has torn[us], but He will healus; He has wounded[us], but He will bandageus.

Seenowthat I, I am He, And thereis nogodbesidesMe; It is I who putto deathand givelife.I have woundedand it is I who heal,And thereis noonewho can deliverfrom My hand.
