For evenwhen we cameinto Macedoniaour fleshhadnorest,but we were afflictedon everyside: conflictswithout,fearswithin.
but the dovefoundnorestingplacefor the soleof her foot,so she returnedto him into the ark,for the waterwas on the surfaceof allthe earth.Then he putout his handand tookher, and broughther into the arkto himself.
"Allaroundterrorsfrightenhim, And harryhim at every step.
"The peopleswill be burnedto lime,Like cutthornswhich are burnedin the fire.
For I have heardthe whisperingof many,"Terroron everyside!Denounce[him]; yes, let us denouncehim!" Allmy trustedfriends,Watchingfor my fall,say: "Perhapshe will be deceived,so that we may prevailagainst him And takeour revengeon him."
You said,"Ah,woeis me! For the LORDhas addedsorrowto my pain;I am wearywith my groaningand have foundnorest."'
Do not goout into the fieldAnd do not walkon the road,For the enemyhas a sword,Terroris on everyside.
My sorrowis beyond healing,My heartis faint[within me]!
Afterthe uproarhad ceased,Paulsentfor the disciples,and when he had exhortedthem and taken his leaveof them, he leftto goto Macedonia.
For Macedoniaand Achaiahave been pleasedto makea contributionfor the pooramong the saintsin Jerusalem.
I affirm,brethren,by the boastingin you whichI havein ChristJesusour Lord,I diedaily.
But I will cometo you afterI gothroughMacedonia,for I am going throughMacedonia;
I hadnorestfor my spirit,not findingTitusmy brother;but taking my leaveof them, I wenton to Macedonia.
Thisis the very thingI wroteyou, sothat when I came,I would not havesorrowfrom those whoought to makeme rejoice;having confidencein you allthat my joywould be [the joy] of you all.
For to thisend alsoI wrote,sothat I might putyou to the test,whetheryou are obedientin all things.
I fearfor you, that perhapsI have laboredoveryou in vain.
Outsidethe swordwill bereave,And insideterror--Bothyoungmanand virgin,The nurslingwith the manof grayhair.
For thisreason,when I could endure[it] no longer,I alsosentto findout about your faith,for fearthat the temptermight have temptedyou, and our laborwould be in vain.
