and He diedfor all,sothat they who livemight no longerlivefor themselves,but for Him who diedand rose againon their behalf.
Naamansaid,"If not, pleaselet your servantat least be giventwomules'loadof earth;for your servantwill nolongerofferburntofferingnorwill he sacrificeto othergods,but to the LORD.
"When I passedby you and sawyou squirmingin your blood,I saidto you [while you were] in your blood,'Live!'Yes, I saidto you [while you were] in your blood,'Live!'
"I will putMy Spiritwithin you and you will cometo life,and I will placeyou on your own land.Then you will knowthat I, the LORD,have spokenand doneit," declaresthe LORD.'"
Then He saidto me, "Prophesyto the breath,prophesy,sonof man,and sayto the breath,'Thussaysthe LordGOD,"Comefrom the fourwinds,O breath,and breatheon theseslain,that they cometo life."'"
"Behold,as for the proudone, His soulis not rightwithin him; But the righteouswill liveby his faith.
"When I scatterthem among the peoples,They will rememberMe in farcountries,And they with their childrenwill liveand comeback.
To grantus that we, being rescuedfrom the handof our enemies,Might serveHim without fear,
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, he who hearsMy word,and believesHim who sentMe, haseternallife,and does not comeinto judgment,but has passedout of deathinto life.
"As the livingFathersentMe, and I livebecauseof the Father,sohe who eatsMe, he alsowill livebecauseof Me.
ThereforeI urgeyou, brethren,by the merciesof God,to presentyour bodiesa livingand holysacrifice,acceptableto God,[which is] your spiritualservice of worship.
[He] whowas deliveredover becauseof our transgressions,and was raisedbecauseof our justification.
May it neverbe! Howshall we whodiedto sinstilllivein it?
knowingthis,that our oldselfwas crucifiedwith [Him], in orderthat our bodyof sinmight be done awaywith, so that we would no longerbe slavesto sin;
IfChristis in you, thoughthe bodyis deadbecauseof sin,yetthe spiritis alivebecauseof righteousness.
For the lawof the Spiritof lifein ChristJesushas set you freefrom the lawof sinand of death.
For the mindseton the fleshis death,but the mind seton the Spiritis lifeand peace,
justas I alsopleaseallmen in all things,not seekingmy ownprofitbut the [profit] of the many,sothat they may be saved.
ThereforeI am well contentwith weaknesses,with insults,with distresses,with persecutions,with difficulties,for Christ'ssake;for whenI am weak,thenI amstrong.
whoalsomade us adequate[as] servantsof a newcovenant,not of the letterbut of the Spirit;for the letterkills,but the Spiritgives life.
Thereforefrom nowon we recognizeno oneaccordingto the flesh;eventhoughwe have knownChristaccordingto the flesh,yetnowwe know[Him] [in this way] no longer.
Ifwe liveby the Spirit,let us alsowalkby the Spirit.
SothisI say,and affirmtogetherwith the Lord,that you walkno longerjustas the Gentilesalsowalk,in the futilityof their mind,
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
having been buriedwith Him in baptism,in whichyou were alsoraisedup with Him throughfaithin the workingof God,who raisedHim from the dead.
Thereforeifyou have been raisedup with Christ,keep seekingthe things above,whereChristis, seatedat the right handof God.
Whateveryou doin wordordeed,[do] allin the nameof the LordJesus,giving thanksthroughHim to Godthe Father.
Whateveryou do,do your workheartily,as for the Lordratherthanfor men,
who diedfor us, sothat whetherwe are awakeorasleep,we will livetogetherwith Him.
whogaveHimselffor us to redeemus from everylawless deed,and to purifyfor Himselfa peoplefor His ownpossession,zealousfor gooddeeds.
For the gospelhas for thispurpose been preachedevento those who are dead,that thoughthey are judgedin the fleshas men,they may livein the spiritaccordingto [the] [will of] God.
By thisthe loveof Godwas manifestedin us, that Godhas sentHis only begottenSoninto the worldsothat we might livethroughHim.
and the livingOne; and I was dead,and behold,I amaliveforevermore,and I havethe keysof deathand of Hades.
