He madecitiesfor himself and acquiredflocksand herdsin abundance,for Godhad givenhim verygreatwealth.
"Both richesand honor[come] from You, and You ruleover all,and in Your handis powerand might;and it lies in Your handto makegreatand to strengtheneveryone.
Then he diedin a ripeoldage,fullof days,richesand honor;and his sonSolomonreignedin his place.
So the LORDestablishedthe kingdomin his control,and allJudahbroughttributeto Jehoshaphat,and he hadgreatrichesand honor.
Amaziahsaidto the manof God,"But what[shall we] dofor the hundredtalentswhichI have givento the troopsof Israel?"And the manof Godanswered,"The LORDhasmuchmoreto giveyou thanthis."
He builttowersin the wildernessand hewedmanycisterns,for he hadmuchlivestock,both in the lowlandand in the plain.[He also had] plowmenand vinedressersin the hillcountryand the fertilefields,for he lovedthe soil.
storehousesalso for the produceof grain,wineand oil,pensfor allkindsof cattleand sheepfoldsfor the flocks.
His possessionsalso were 7,000sheep,3000camels,500yokeof oxen,500femaledonkeys,and verymanyservants;and that manwas the greatestof allthe menof the east.
Then Satanansweredthe LORD,"Does JobfearGodfor nothing?
The LORDblessedthe latter[days] of Jobmorethanhis beginning;and he had14000sheepand 6,000camelsand 1,000yokeof oxenand 1,000femaledonkeys.
It is the blessingof the LORDthat makesrich,And He addsnosorrowto it.
"But you shall rememberthe LORDyour God,for it is He who is givingyou powerto makewealth,that He may confirmHis covenantwhichHe sworeto your fathers,as [it is] thisday.
"The LORDmakespoorand rich;He bringslow,He alsoexalts.
