Then Hezekiahgavethe orderto offerthe burntofferingon the altar.Whenthe burntofferingbegan,the songto the LORDalso beganwith the trumpets,[accompanied] by the instrumentsof David,kingof Israel.
And with them [were] Hemanand Jeduthun[with] trumpetsand cymbalsfor those who should soundaloud, and [with] instruments[for] the songsof God,and the sonsof Jeduthunfor the gate.
When he had consultedwith the people,he appointedthose who sangto the LORDand those who praised[Him] in holyattire,as they wentout beforethe armyand said,"Givethanksto the LORD,for His lovingkindnessis everlasting."
Moreover, Jehoiadaplacedthe officesof the houseof the LORDunder the authorityof the Leviticalpriests,whomDavidhad assignedoverthe houseof the LORD,to offerthe burntofferingsof the LORD,as it is writtenin the lawof Moses--with rejoicingand singingaccordingto the orderof David.
While the wholeassemblyworshiped,the singersalso sangand the trumpetssounded;allthis [continued] untilthe burntofferingwas finished.
The sonsof Israelpresentin Jerusalemcelebratedthe Feastof UnleavenedBread[for] sevendayswith greatjoy,and the Levitesand the priestspraisedthe LORDdayafter daywith loudinstrumentsto the LORD.
Allthe sonsof Israel,seeingthe firecomedownand the gloryof the LORDupon the house,boweddownon the pavementwith their facesto the ground,and they worshipedand gavepraiseto the LORD,[saying], "TrulyHe is good,trulyHis lovingkindnessis everlasting."
The priestsstoodat their posts,and the Levitesalso, with the instrumentsof musicto the LORD,whichKingDavidhad madefor givingpraiseto the LORD--"for His lovingkindnessis everlasting"--whenever he gavepraiseby their means,while the priestson the othersideblewtrumpets;and allIsraelwas standing.
Givethanksto the LORD,for He is good,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting.
