Then the menwhowere designatedby namearose,tookthe captives,and they clothedalltheir nakedonesfrom the spoil;and they gavethem clothesand sandals,fedthem and gavethem drink,anointedthem [with oil], ledalltheir feebleones on donkeys,and broughtthem to Jericho,the cityof palmtrees,to their brothers;then they returnedto Samaria.
He answered,"You shall not kill[them]. Would you killthose you have takencaptivewith your swordand with your bow?Setbreadand waterbeforethem, that they may eatand drinkand goto their master."
So he prepareda greatfeastfor them; and when they had eatenand drunkhe sentthem away,and they wentto their master.And the maraudingbandsof Arameansdidnot comeagaininto the landof Israel.
Then someof the headsof the sonsof Ephraim--Azariahthe sonof Johanan,Berechiahthe sonof Meshillemoth,Jehizkiahthe sonof Shallum,and Amasathe sonof Hadlai--aroseagainstthose who were comingfrom the battle,
So the armedmen leftthe captivesand the spoilbeforethe officersand allthe assembly.

Then they said,"We will give[it] backand will requirenothingfrom them; we will doexactlyas you say."So I calledthe priestsand tookan oathfrom them that they would doaccording to thispromise.
"Is it not to divideyour breadwith the hungryAnd bringthe homelesspoorinto the house;Whenyou seethe naked,to coverhim; And not to hideyourself from your own flesh?
"But I sayto you who hear,loveyour enemies,dogoodto thosewho hateyou,
And when He cameout ontothe land,He was metby a manfrom the citywho was possessedwith demons;and who had not puton any clothingfor a longtime,and was not livingin a house,but in the tombs.
[The people] wentout to seewhat had happened;and they cameto Jesus,and foundthe manfrom whomthe demonshad goneout, sitting downat the feetof Jesus,clothedand in his right mind;and they became frightened.
SoPeteraroseand wentwith them. When he arrived,they broughthim into the upper room;and allthe widowsstood besidehim, weepingand showingallthe tunicsand garmentsthat Dorcasused to makewhileshe was with them.
Nowwe who are strongoughtto bearthe weaknessesof thosewithout strengthand not [just] pleaseourselves.
and the Negevand the plainin the valleyof Jericho,the cityof palmtrees,as faras Zoar.
having a reputationfor goodworks;[and] ifshe has brought up children,ifshe has shown hospitality to strangers,ifshe has washedthe saints'feet,ifshe has assistedthose in distress,[and] ifshe has devoted herselfto everygoodwork.
The descendantsof the Kenite,Moses'father-in-law,wentup from the cityof palmswith the sonsof Judah,to the wildernessof Judahwhichis in the southof Arad;and they wentand livedwith the people.
