But she who gives herself to wanton pleasureis deadeven while she lives.
You have lived luxuriouslyon the earthand led a life of wanton pleasure;you have fattenedyour heartsin a dayof slaughter.
"To the degreethat she glorifiedherselfand lived sensuously,to the same degreegiveher tormentand mourning;for she saysin her heart,I SIT[as] A QUEENAND I AMNOT A WIDOW,and will neverseemourning.'
"To the angelof the churchin Sardiswrite:He who hasthe sevenSpiritsof Godand the sevenstars,saysthis:I knowyour deeds,that you havea namethat you are alive,but you are dead.

For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
