For if we go on sinningwillfullyafterreceivingthe knowledgeof the truth,there no longerremainsa sacrificefor sins,
"ThereforeI have swornto the houseof Elithat the iniquityof Eli'shouseshall not be atonedfor by sacrificeor offeringforever."
For it was of the LORDto hardentheir hearts,to meetIsraelin battlein orderthat he might utterlydestroythem, that they might receivenomercy,but that he might destroythem, justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
But the personwhodoes[anything] defiantly,whetherhe is nativeor an alien,that oneis blasphemingthe LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom amonghis people.
Grievouspunishmentis for him who forsakesthe way;He who hatesreproofwill die.
For there is oneGod,[and] onemediatoralsobetween Godand men,[the] manChristJesus,
ThereforeHe is ablealsoto saveforeverthosewho draw nearto GodthroughHim, since He alwayslivesto make intercessionfor them.
Against You, You only,I have sinnedAnd donewhatis evilin Your sight,Sothat You are justifiedwhen You speakAnd blamelesswhen You judge.
As he was talkingwith him, the king saidto him, "Have we appointedyou a royalcounselor?Stop!Whyshould you be struckdown?"Then the prophetstoppedand said,"I knowthat Godhas plannedto destroyyou, becauseyou have donethisand have not listenedto my counsel."
You shall not showpartialityin judgment;you shall hearthe smalland the greatalike. You shall not fearman,for the judgmentis God's.The casethat is toohardfor you, you shall bringto me, and I will hearit.'
For You do not delightin sacrifice,otherwise I would giveit; You are not pleasedwith burntoffering.
"But Sihonkingof Heshbonwas not willingfor us to passthrough his land; for the LORDyour Godhardenedhis spiritand madehis heartobstinate,in orderto deliverhim into your hand,as [he is] today.
but a terrifyingexpectationof judgmentand THE FURYOF A FIREWHICH WILLCONSUMETHE ADVERSARIES.
"Thereis noumpirebetweenus, Who may layhis handupon us both.
A manwho hardens[his] neckafter much reproofWill suddenlybe brokenbeyondremedy.
But Er,Judah'sfirstborn,was evilin the sightof the LORD,so the LORDtookhis life.
But whathe didwas displeasingin the sightof the LORD;so He tookhis lifealso.
"Ifa mansinsagainst his neighborand is madeto takean oath,and he comes[and] takesan oathbeforeYour altarin thishouse,
then hearin heavenand actand judgeYour servants,condemningthe wickedby bringinghis wayon his own headand justifyingthe righteousby givinghim according to his righteousness.
So the kingdid not listento the people,for it was a turn[of events] from Godthat the LORDmight establishHis word,whichHe spokethroughAhijahthe Shiloniteto Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat.
A wiseson[accepts his] father'sdiscipline,But a scofferdoes not listento rebuke.
A timeto killand a timeto heal;A timeto teardownand a timeto buildup.
