Then he would thrustit into the pan,orkettle,orcaldron,orpot;allthat the forkbroughtup the priestwould takefor himself. Thusthey didin Shilohto allthe Israeliteswho camethere.
And the dogsare greedy,they are not satisfied.And they are shepherdswho havenounderstanding;They have allturnedto their own way,Eachoneto his unjustgain,to the lastone.
For I have takenthe breastof the waveofferingand the thighof the contributionfrom the sonsof Israelfrom the sacrificesof their peaceofferings,and have giventhem to Aaronthe priestand to his sonsas [their] dueforeverfrom the sonsof Israel.
Whoeatthe fleshof my people,Stripofftheir skinfrom them, Breaktheir bonesAnd chop[them] up as for the potAnd as meatin a kettle."
"Ohthat there were one among you who would shutthe gates,that you might not uselesslykindle[fire on] My altar!I am not pleasedwith you," saysthe LORDof hosts,"norwill I acceptan offeringfrom you.
and the customof the priestswith the people.When anymanwas offeringa sacrifice,the priest'sservantwould comewhile the meatwas boiling,with a three-prongedforkin his hand.
Also,beforethey burnedthe fat,the priest'sservantwould comeand sayto the manwho was sacrificing,"Givethe priestmeatfor roasting,as he will not takeboiledmeatfrom you, onlyraw."
Whydo you kickat My sacrificeand at My offeringwhichI have commanded[in My] dwelling,and honoryour sonsaboveMe, by makingyourselves fatwith the choicestof everyofferingof My peopleIsrael?'
