Each one[must do] justas he has purposedin his heart,not grudginglyorundercompulsion,for Godlovesa cheerfulgiver.
But Samuelsaid,"Whathave you done?"And Saulsaid,"BecauseI sawthat the peoplewere scatteringfrom me, and that you did not comewithin the appointeddays,and that the Philistineswere assemblingat Michmash,

Samuelsaid,"Has the LORDas much delightin burntofferingsand sacrificesAs in obeyingthe voiceof the LORD?Behold,to obeyis betterthansacrifice,[And] to heedthanthe fatof rams.
Now oneof the servantsof Saulwas therethat day,detainedbeforethe LORD;and his namewas Doegthe Edomite,the chiefof Saul'sshepherds.
