Now it cameabout when Solomonhad finishedbuildingthe houseof the LORD,and the king'shouse,and allthat Solomondesiredto do,
Then Solomonformeda marriagealliancewith Pharaohkingof Egypt,and tookPharaoh'sdaughterand broughther to the cityof Daviduntilhe had finishedbuildinghis own houseand the houseof the LORDand the wallaroundJerusalem.
In the fourthyearthe foundationof the houseof the LORDwas laid,in the monthof Ziv.
Now Solomonwas buildinghis own housethirteenyears,and he finishedallhis house.
He builtthe houseof the forestof Lebanon;its lengthwas 100cubitsand its width50cubitsand its height30cubits,on fourrowsof cedarpillarswith cedarbeamson the pillars.
Thus allthe workthat KingSolomonperformed[in] the houseof the LORDwas finished.And Solomonbroughtin the thingsdedicatedby his fatherDavid,the silverand the goldand the utensils,[and] he putthem in the treasuriesof the houseof the LORD.
On the eighthdayhe sentthe peopleawayand they blessedthe king.Then they wentto their tentsjoyfuland gladof heartfor allthe goodnessthat the LORDhad shownto DavidHis servantand to IsraelHis people.
It cameabout at the endof twentyyearsin whichSolomonhad builtthe twohouses,the houseof the LORDand the king'shouse
(Hiramkingof Tyrehad suppliedSolomonwith cedarand cypresstimberand goldaccording to allhis desire),thenKingSolomongaveHiramtwentycitiesin the landof Galilee.
and allthe storagecitieswhichSolomonhad,even the citiesfor his chariotsand the citiesfor his horsemen,and allthat it pleasedSolomonto buildin Jerusalem,in Lebanon,and in allthe landunder his rule.
Now when Solomonhad finishedpraying,firecamedownfrom heavenand consumedthe burntofferingand the sacrifices,and the gloryof the LORDfilledthe house.
Thus Solomonfinishedthe houseof the LORDand the king'spalace,and successfullycompletedallthat he had plannedon doingin the houseof the LORDand in his palace.
Now it cameabout at the endof the twentyyearsin whichSolomonhad builtthe houseof the LORDand his own house
and Baalathand allthe storagecitiesthat Solomonhad,and allthe citiesfor his chariotsand citiesfor his horsemen,and allthat it pleasedSolomonto buildin Jerusalem,in Lebanon,and in allthe landunder his rule.
Allthat my eyesdesiredI did not refusethem. I did not withholdmy heartfrom anypleasure,for my heartwas pleasedbecauseof allmy laborand thiswas my rewardfor allmy labor.
I enlargedmy works:I builthousesfor myself, I plantedvineyardsfor myself;
Whatthe eyesseeis betterthanwhat the souldesires.Thistoois futilityand a strivingafter wind.
