Now the kingof Aramhad commandedthe thirty-twocaptainsof his chariots,saying,"Do not fightwith smallor great,but with the kingof Israelalone."
They struckthe menwhowere at the doorwayof the housewith blindness,bothsmalland great,so that they wearied[themselves trying] to findthe doorway.
"I will comeupon him while he is wearyand exhaustedand terrifyhim, so that allthe peoplewhoare with him will flee.Then I will strikedownthe kingalone,
Now Ben-hadadkingof Aramgatheredallhis army,and there [were] thirty-twokingswith him, and horsesand chariots.And he wentup and besiegedSamariaand foughtagainst it.
They wentout at noon,while Ben-hadadwas drinkinghimself drunkin the temporaryshelterswith the thirty-twokingswho helpedhim.
"Dothisthing:removethe kings,eachfrom his place,and putcaptainsin their place,
So when the captainsof the chariotssawJehoshaphat,they said,"Surelyit is the kingof Israel,"and they turnedasideto fightagainsthim, and Jehoshaphatcriedout.

"Both greatmenand smallwill diein thisland;they will not be buried,they will not be lamented,norwill anyone gashhimself or shavehis headfor them.
and they tookcaptivethe women[and all] whowere in it, bothsmalland great,withoutkillinganyone,and carried[them] offand wenttheir way.
