He calledto the LORDand said,"O LORDmy God,have You alsobroughtcalamityto the widowwith whomI am staying,by causing her sonto die?"
But whathe didwas displeasingin the sightof the LORD;so He tookhis lifealso.
But Er,Judah'sfirstborn,was evilin the sightof the LORD,so the LORDtookhis life.
He saidto her, "Giveme your son."Then he tookhim from her bosomand carriedhim up to the upperroomwherehe was living,and laidhim on his own bed.
Then he stretchedhimself upon the childthreetimes,and calledto the LORDand said,"O LORDmy God,I prayYou, let thischild'slifereturnto him."
Hezekiahprayedbeforethe LORDand said,"O LORD,the Godof Israel,who are enthroned[above] the cherubim,You are the God,You alone,of allthe kingdomsof the earth.You have madeheavenand earth.
Perhapsthe LORDyour Godwill hearallthe wordsof Rabshakeh,whomhis masterthe kingof Assyriahas sentto reproachthe livingGod,and will rebukethe wordswhichthe LORDyour Godhas heard.Therefore, offera prayerfor the remnantthat is left.'"
Isaiahthe prophetcriedto the LORD,and He broughtthe shadowon the stairwaybacktenstepsby whichit had gonedownon the stairwayof Ahaz.
So he enteredand shutthe doorbehindthem bothand prayedto the LORD.
Mosesand Aaronwere among His priests,And Samuelwas among those who calledon His name;They calledupon the LORDand He answeredthem.
So Mosescriedout to the LORD,saying,"Whatshall I doto thispeople?A littlemoreand they will stoneme."
Righteousare You, O LORD,that I would plead[my] casewith You; IndeedI would discussmattersof justicewith You: Whyhas the wayof the wickedprospered?[Why] are allthose who dealin treacheryat ease?

"And all thingsyou askin prayer,believing,you will receive."
