Thus Zimridestroyedallthe householdof Baasha,according to the wordof the LORD,whichHe spokeagainstBaashathroughJehuthe prophet,
AllIsraelburiedhim and mournedfor him, according to the wordof the LORDwhichHe spokethroughHis servantAhijahthe prophet.
Now there was warbetweenAsaand Baashakingof Israelalltheir days.
Now the wordof the LORDcameto Jehuthe sonof HananiagainstBaasha,saying,
behold,I will consumeBaashaand his house,and I will makeyour houselike the houseof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat.
Moreover,the wordof the LORDthroughthe prophetJehuthe sonof HananialsocameagainstBaashaand his household,both becauseof allthe evilwhichhe didin the sightof the LORD,provokingHim to angerwith the workof his hands,in beinglike the houseof Jeroboam,and becausehe struckit.
The bowlof flourwas not exhaustednordid the jarof oilbecomeempty,according to the wordof the LORDwhichHe spokethroughElijah.
He restoredthe borderof Israelfrom the entranceof Hamathas faras the Seaof the Arabah,according to the wordof the LORD,the Godof Israel,whichHe spokethroughHis servantJonahthe sonof Amittai,the prophet,whowas of Gath-hepher.
So the kingdid not listento the people,for it was a turn[of events] from Godthat the LORDmight establishHis word,whichHe spokethroughAhijahthe Shiloniteto Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat.
Jehuthe sonof Hananithe seerwentout to meethim and saidto KingJehoshaphat,"Should you helpthe wickedand lovethose who hatethe LORDand so[bring] wrathon yourself from the LORD?
Now the restof the actsof Jehoshaphat,firstto last,behold,they are writtenin the annalsof Jehuthe sonof Hanani,whichis recordedin the Bookof the Kingsof Israel.
He cutsoff[his own] feet[and] drinksviolenceWho sendsa messageby the handof a fool.
