Now the manJeroboamwas a valiantwarrior,and when Solomonsawthat the youngmanwas industrious,he appointedhim over allthe forcedlaborof the houseof Joseph.
but I will takethe kingdomfrom his son'shandand giveit to you, [even] tentribes.
I will takeyou, and you shall reignover whateveryou desire,and you shall be kingoverIsrael.
Thussaysthe LORD,"You must not goup and fightagainstyour relativesthe sonsof Israel;returneverymanto his house,for thisthinghas comefrom Me."'" So they listenedto the wordof the LORD,and returnedand went[their way] according to the wordof the LORD.
Thiseventbecamesinto the houseof Jeroboam,even to blot[it] out and destroy[it] from offthe faceof the earth.
When Ahijahheardthe soundof her feetcomingin the doorway,he said,"Comein, wifeof Jeroboam,whydo you pretendto be anotherwoman?For I am sentto you [with] a harsh[message].
"Inasmuchas I exaltedyou from the dustand madeyou leaderoverMy peopleIsrael,and you have walkedin the wayof Jeroboamand have made My peopleIsraelsin,provokingMe to angerwith their sins,
I gaveyou a kingin My angerAnd tookhim away in My wrath.
Then Samuelsaidto Saul,"Wait,and let me tellyou whatthe LORDsaidto me last night."And he saidto him, "Speak!"
