Now the restof the actsof Jeroboam,howhe madewarand howhe reigned,behold,they are writtenin the Bookof the Chroniclesof the Kingsof Israel.
Then he ledawayinto exileallJerusalemand allthe captainsand allthe mightymenof valor,tenthousandcaptives,and allthe craftsmenand the smiths.Noneremainedexceptthe poorestpeopleof the land.
So he ledJehoiachinawayinto exileto Babylon;also the king'smotherand the king'swivesand his officialsand the leadingmenof the land,he ledaway into exilefrom Jerusalemto Babylon.
Allthe menof valor,seventhousand,and the craftsmenand the smiths,one thousand,allstrongand fitfor war,and these the kingof Babylonbroughtinto exileto Babylon.
The sonsof Ulamwere mightymenof valor,archers,and hadmanysonsand grandsons,150[of them]. Allthese[were] of the sonsof Benjamin.
Therefore the LORDbroughtthe commandersof the armyof the kingof Assyriaagainstthem, and they capturedManassehwith hooks,boundhim with bronze[chains] and tookhim to Babylon.
Now theseare the peopleof the provincewho cameup out of the captivityof the exileswhomNebuchadnezzarthe kingof Babylonhad carriedawayto Babylon,and returnedto Jerusalemand Judah,eachto his city.
Now theseare those who cameup from Tel-melah,Tel-harsha,Cherub,Addan[and] Immer,but they were not ableto giveevidenceof their fathers'householdsand their descendants,whetherthey were of Israel:
Now the leadersof the peoplelivedin Jerusalem,but the restof the peoplecastlotsto bringoneout of tento livein Jerusalem,the holycity,while nine-tenths[remained] in the [other] cities.
Then my Godputit into my heartto assemblethe nobles,the officialsand the peopleto be enrolledby genealogies.Then I foundthe bookof the genealogyof those who cameup firstin which I foundthe following record:
Thesesearched[among] their ancestralregistration,but it could not be located;therefore they were considered unclean[and excluded] from the priesthood.
The mightymanand the warrior,The judgeand the prophet,The divinerand the elder,
The citiesof the Negevhave been lockedup, And thereis nooneto open[them]; AllJudahhas been carriedinto exile,Whollycarriedinto exile.
As for the restof the peoplewho were leftin the city,the deserterswhohad goneoverto him and the restof the peoplewho remained,Nebuzaradanthe captainof the bodyguardcarried[them] into exilein Babylon.
The LordgaveJehoiakimkingof Judahinto his hand,along with someof the vesselsof the houseof God;and he broughtthem to the landof Shinar,to the houseof his god,and he broughtthe vesselsinto the treasuryof his god.
