And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Yisra’ĕl lifted their eyes and saw the Mitsrites coming up after them. And they were greatly afraid, so the children of Yisra’ĕl cried out to יהוה.


And it came to be, in the morning watch, that יהוה looked down upon the army of the Mitsrites through the column of fire and cloud, and He brought the army of the Mitsrites into confusion.


And when a voice of the shophar sounded long and became very strong, Mosheh spoke, and Elohim answered him by voice.


And it came to be after these many days that the sovereign of Mitsrayim died. And the children of Yisra’ĕl groaned because of the slavery, and they cried out. And their cry came up to Elohim because of the slavery.


“I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.


Say, therefore, to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I am יהוה, and I shall bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites, and shall deliver you from their enslaving, and shall redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments,”


“Therefore see, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when it is no longer said, ‘יהוה lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl from the land of Mitsrayim,’


These were the waters of Meriḇah, because the children of Yisra’ĕl contended with יהוה, and He was set apart among them.


“Aharon is to be gathered to his people, for he is not to enter the land which I have given to the children of Yisra’ĕl, because you rebelled against My mouth at the water of Meriḇah.


And of Lĕwi he said, “Your Tummim and your Urim belong to your lovingly-commited One, Whom you tried at Massah, with Whom you contended at the waters of Meriḇah,


I am יהוה your Elohim who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage.
