And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that his fathers did.
“In vain have I stricken your children – they received no instruction. Your sword has devoured your prophets like a destroying lion.
Then the heads said to Baruḵ, “Go, hide, you and Yirmeyahu, and let no one know where you are.”
Qiryath Ba‛al, that is Qiryath Ye‛arim, and Rabbah – two cities with their villages.
And the border was drawn and went around the west side to the south, from the hill that faces Bĕyth Ḥoron southward, and it ended at Qiryath Ba‛al, that is Qiryath Ye‛arim, a city of the children of Yehuḏah. This was the west side.
And the children of Yisra’ĕl set out and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Giḇ‛on, and Kephirah, and Be’ĕroth, and Qiryath Ye‛arim.
And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Qiryath Ye‛arim, saying, “The Philistines have brought back the ark of יהוה. Come down, take it up to you.”
And it came to be, from the day that the ark remained in Qiryath Ye‛arim, that the time increased, it came to be twenty years. And all the house of Yisra’ĕl lamented after יהוה.
