“And among those nations you are to find no rest, nor have a resting place for the sole of your foot. But there יהוה shall give you a trembling heart, and failing eyes, and sorrow of being.

“And if they go into captivity before their enemies, from there I shall command the sword, and it shall kill them. And I shall set My eyes on them for evil and not for good.”


I heard, and my body trembled, My lips quivered at the sound, Rottenness came into my bones. And I trembled within myself, That I might rest for the day of distress, To come upon the people who would attack us.
