and He shall give Yisra’ĕl up, because of the sins of Yaroḇ‛am, who sinned and who made Yisra’ĕl sin.”
because of the sins of Yaroḇ‛am, which he had sinned and by which he had made Yisra’ĕl sin, because of his provocation with which he had provoked יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.
because of the sins which he had sinned in doing evil in the eyes of יהוה, in walking in the way of Yaroḇ‛am, and in his sin which he had committed to make Yisra’ĕl sin.
And he acted very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done, whom יהוה dispossessed from before the children of Yisra’ĕl.
But he walked in the way of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl, and he also made his son pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom יהוה had dispossessed from before the children of Yisra’ĕl.
And also, Menashsheh shed very much innocent blood, until he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another, besides his sin with which he made Yehuḏah sin, in doing evil in the eyes of יהוה.
And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, according to the abominations of the nations whom יהוה dispossessed before the children of Yisra’ĕl.
And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, as his father Menashsheh had done,
and walked in all the ways that his father had walked, and served the idols that his father had served, and bowed himself to them,
But they did not obey, and Menashsheh led them astray to do more evil than the nations whom יהוה had destroyed before the children of Yisra’ĕl.
And also, Yoshiyahu put away those who consulted mediums and spiritists, and the household mighty ones and idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Yehuḏah and in Yerushalayim, in order to establish the words of the Torah which were written in the book that Ḥilqiyahu the priest found in the House of יהוה.
“And I shall make them for a horror to all the reigns of the earth, on account of Menashsheh son of Ḥizqiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, because of what he did in Yerushalayim.
and say, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה to Yerushalayim, “Your origin and your birth are from the land of Kena‛an. Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Ḥittite.
“You are your mother’s daughter, who despises her husband and her children. And you are the sister of your sisters, who despised their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Ḥittite and your father an Amorite.
if he has oppressed the poor and needy, has committed robbery, he does not return a pledge, has lifted his eyes to the idols, or did abomination,
But she rebelled against My rightrulings, doing wrong, more than the nations, and My laws more than the lands all around her. For they have rejected My right-rulings, and they have not walked in My laws.’
