“For I have declared to him that I am judging his house forever for the crookedness which he knows, because his sons cursed Elohim, and he did not rebuke them.

“And the man who acts arrogantly, so as not to listen to the priest who stands to serve there before יהוה your Elohim, or to the judge, that man shall die. So you shall purge the evil from Yisra’ĕl.


When a man has a wayward and rebellious son who is not listening to the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have disciplined him, does not listen to them,”


that if our heart condemns us, Elohim is greater than our heart, and knows all.


And the sons of Ěli were sons of Beliya‛al – they did not know יהוה.


And the sin of the young men was very great before יהוה, for the men despised the offering of יהוה.
