He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said, “Surely not!”


Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.


By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”


By no means! For then how could God judge the world?


but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law.


Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end,


But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not!


For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God.


I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.


But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.


By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.


For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness


(for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
