And the gate of the fountain Sellum the son of Cholhoza built, lord of the street of Maspha: he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars, and the walls of the pool of Siloe unto the king's garden, and unto the steps that go down from the city of David.


Who covereth the heaven with clouds, and prepareth rain for the earth. Who maketh grass to grow on the mountains, and herbs for the service of men.


The Lord said to him: Who made man's mouth? Or who made the dumb and the deaf, the seeing and the blind? Did not I?


The eyes of them that see shall not be dim: and the ears of them that hear shall hearken diligently.


Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.


That thou mightest open the eyes of the blind, and bring forth the prisoner out of prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.


Bring forth the people that are blind, and have eyes: that are deaf, and have ears.


Forasmuch as this people hath cast away the waters of Siloe, that go with silence, and hath rather taken Rasin, and the son of Romelia:


The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.


Or those eighteen upon whom the tower fell in Siloe, and slew them: think you, that they also were debtors above all the men that dwelt in Jerusalem?


A light to the revelation of the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.


Do you say of him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world: Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?


But some of them said: Could not he that opened the eyes of the man born blind, have caused that this man should not die?


He answered: That man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me: Go to the pool of Siloe, and wash. And I went, I washed, and I see.


And Jesus said: For judgment I am come into this world; that they who see not, may see; and they who see, may become blind.


To open their eyes, that they may be converted from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and a lot among the saints, by the faith that is in me.


For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh; God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh and of sin, hath condemned sin in the flesh;


But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:
