And when they saw him afar off, before he came nigh them, they thought to kill him.


And I charged them, and I said to them: Why stay you before the wall? If you do so another time, I will lay hands on you. And from that time they came no more on the sabbath.


And it came to pass from that day forward, that half of their young men did the work, and half were ready for to fight, with spears, and shields, and bows, and coats of mail: and the rulers were behind them in all the house of Juda.


Judea made his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.


The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord and against his Christ.


The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts:


Then Jeremias said to Sedecias: If I shall declare it to thee, wilt thou not put me to death? And if I give thee counsel, thou wilt not hearken to me.


And the princes said to the king: We beseech thee that this man may be put to death: for on purpose he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city and the hands of the people, speaking to them according to these words. For this man seeketh not peace to this people, but evil.


And the Pharisees going out made a consultation against him, how they might destroy him.


From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples, that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the ancients and scribes and chief priests, and be put to death, and the third day rise again.


And no man was able to answer him a word; neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.


And they consulted together, that by subtilty they might apprehend Jesus, and put him to death.


And the chief priests and the whole council sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death:


NOW the feast of the pasch, and of the Azymes was after two days; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might by some wile lay hold on him, and kill him.


And the Pharisees going out, immediately made a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.


The chief priests therefore, and the Pharisees, gathered a council, and said: What do we, for this man doth many miracles?


But the chief priests thought to kill Lazarus also:


AFTER these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.


When they had heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they thought to put them to death.


And when many days were passed, the Jews consulted together to kill him.
