And when the men rose up from thence, they turned their eyes towards Sodom: and Abraham walked with them, bringing them on the way.


And the Lord said: Can I hide from Abraham what I am about to do:


And the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of the city. And seeing them, he rose up and went to meet them: and worshipped prostrate to the ground,


And Abraham got up early in the morning: and in the place where he had stood before with the Lord,


They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in the great waters:


And the Lord said to me: If Moses and Samuel shall stand before me, my soul is not towards this people. Cast them out from my sight and let them go forth.


Shall evil be rendered for good, because they have digged a pit for my soul? Remember that I have stood in thy sight, to speak good for them and turn away thy indignation from them.


And I sought among them for a man that might set up a hedge and stand in the gap before me in favour of the land, that I might not destroy it: and I found none.


But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looking up steadfastly to heaven, saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. And he said: Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.


I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men:
