In those days, I saw in Juda some treading the presses on the sabbath, and carrying sheaves, and lading asses with wine, and grapes, and figs, and all manner of burthens, and bringing them into Jerusalem on the sabbath day. And I charged them that they should sell on a day on which it was lawful to sell.


This is the word of the Lord concerning you, O ye remnant of Juda: Go ye not into Egypt. Know certainly that I have adjured you this day.


The woman, with whom he copulateth, shall be washed with water, and shall be unclean until the evening.


That he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torments.


Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.


And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was earnest in preaching, testifying to the Jews, that Jesus is the Christ.


And with very many other words did he testify and exhort them, saying: Save yourselves from this perverse generation.


Testifying both to Jews and Gentiles penance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.


Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened.


Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I am of Cephas; and I of Christ.


Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot possess the kingdom of God: neither shall corruption possess incorruption.


Now this I say: He who soweth sparingly, shall also reap sparingly: and he who soweth in blessings, shall also reap blessings.


Now this I say, that the testament which was confirmed by God, the law which was made after four hundred and thirty years, doth not disannul, to make the promise of no effect.


And I testify again to every man circumcising himself, that he is a debtor to the whole law.


And he hath subjected all things under his feet, and hath made him head over all the church,


To put off, according to former conversation, the old man, who is corrupted according to the desire of error.


Thou shalt hear his voice, and do the commandments and justices which I command thee.


Let no man seduce you, willing in humility, and religion of angels, walking in the things which he hath not seen, in vain puffed up by the sense of his flesh,


Now this I say, that no man may deceive you by loftiness of words.


And that no man overreach, nor circumvent his brother in business: because the Lord is the avenger of all these things, as we have told you before, and have testified.


I charge thee before God, and Christ Jesus, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by declining to either side.


I charge thee before God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who gave testimony under Pontius Pilate, a good confession,


I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom:


Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as gold or silver, from your vain conversation of the tradition of your fathers:


For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:
