Let the fear of the Lord be with you, and do all things with diligence. For there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor desire of gifts.


And I said: I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, strong, great, and terrible, who keepest covenant and mercy with those that love thee and keep thy commandments:


And I looked and rose up. And I said to the chief men and the magistrates, and to the rest of the common people: Be not afraid of them. Remember the Lord who is great and terrible; and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, and your wives, and your houses.


Now therefore our God, great, strong and terrible, who keepest covenant and mercy, turn not away from thy face all the labour which hath come upon us: upon our kings, and our princes, and our priests, and our prophets, and our fathers, and all the people from the days of the king of Assur, until this day.


Who accepteth not the persons of princes: nor hath regarded the tyrant, when he contended against the poor man. For all are the work of his hands.


Know ye that the Lord he is God: he made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.


Neither shalt thou take bribes, which even blind the wise, and pervert the words of the just.


O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, who sittest upon the cherubims: thou alone art the God of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.


For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace.


But the Lord is with me as a strong warrior: therefore they that persecute me shall fall and shall be weak. They shall be greatly confounded, because they have not understood the everlasting reproach which never shall be effaced.


Thou shewest mercy unto thousands and returnest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. O most mighty, great, and powerful: the Lord of hosts is thy name.


Who coming, say to him: Master, we know that thou art a true speaker, and carest not for any man; for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar; or shall we not give it?


And Peter opening his mouth, said: In very deed I perceive, that God is not a respecter of persons.


For there is no respect of persons with God.


But of them who seemed to be some thing, (what they were some time, it is nothing to me, God accepteth not the person of man,) for to me they that seemed to be some thing added nothing.


And you, masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatenings, knowing that the Lord both of them and you is in heaven; and there is no respect of persons with him.


There shall be no difference of persons. You shall hear the little as well as the great. Neither shall you respect any man's person, because it is the judgment of God. And if any thing seem hard to you, refer it to me, and I will hear it.


And not go aside to either part. Thou shalt not accept person nor gifts: for gifts blind the eyes of the wise, and change the words of the just.


Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger nor of the fatherless: neither shalt thou take away the widow's raiment for a pledge.


Cursed be he that taketh gifts, to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say: Amen.


Thou shalt not fear them, because the Lord thy God is in the midst of thee, a God mighty and terrible.


For he that doth wrong, shall receive for that which he hath done wrongfully: and there is no respect of persons with God.


Which in his times he shall shew who is the Blessed and only Mighty, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;


The Lord, the most mighty God, the Lord, the most mighty God, he knoweth, and Israel also shall understand: If with the design of transgression we have set up this altar, let him not save us, but punish us immediately.


And if you invoke as Father him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to every one's work: converse in fear during the time of your sojourning here.


These shall fight with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, because he is Lord of lords, and King of kings, and they that are with him are called, and elect, and faithful.


And he hath on his garment, and on his thigh written: KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.
