And each one said to his neighbour: Come, let us make brick, and bake them with fire. And they had brick instead of stones, and slime instead of mortar.


Come ye, therefore, let us go down, and there confound their tongue, that they may not understand one another's speech.

And the king said to the man of God: Come home with me to dine, and I will make thee presents.

And a certain man came from Baalsalisa bringing to the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and new corn in his scrip. And he said: Give to the people, that they may eat.


Then Naaman went in to his lord, and told him, saying: Thus and thus said the girl from the land of Israel.


And brought the letter to the king of Israel, in these words: When thou shalt receive this letter, know that I have sent to thee Naaman my servant, that thou mayest heal him of his leprosy.


A man's gift enlargeth his may, and maketh him room before princes.


I said in my heart: I will go, and abound with delights, and enjoy good things. And I saw that this also was vanity.


And now I will shew you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be wasted: I will break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down.


And the ancients of Moab, and the elders of Madian, went with the price of divination in their hands. And when they were come to Balaam, and had told him all the words of Balac:


But who art thou that judgest thy neighbour? Behold, now you that say: To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and there we will spend a year, and will traffic, and make our gain.


And Samson said to them: I will propose to you a riddle, which if you declare unto me within the seven days of the feast, I will give you thirty shirts, and as many coats.
