And the hand of the Lord was upon Elias: and he girded up his loins and ran before Achab, till he came to Jezrahel.


And he struck the waters with the mantle of Elias, that had fallen from him, and they were not divided. And he said: Where is now the God of Elias? And he struck the waters, and they were divided, hither and thither: and Eliseus passed over.


And Elias took his mantle, and folded it together, and struck the waters: and they were divided hither and thither. And they both passed over on dry ground.


And he said to Giezi his servant: Call this Sunamitess. And when he had called her, and she stood before him,


And Eliseus the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets slid said to him: Gird up thy loins, and take this little bottle of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth Galaad.


But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand over the sea, and divide it: that the children of Israel may go through the midst of the sea on dry ground.


And take this rod in thy hand, wherewith thou shalt do the signs.


She hath girded her loins with strength, and hath strengthened her arm.


Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes; and salute no man by the way.


So that even there were brought from his body to the sick, handkerchiefs and aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the wicked spirits went out of them.


And in the faith of his name, this man, whom you have seen and known, hath his name strengthened; and the faith which is by him, hath given this perfect soundness in the sight of you all.


Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice,


Wherefore having the loins of your mind girt up, being sober, trust perfectly in the grace which is offered you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
