And Nathan said to the king: Go, do all that is in thy heart; because the Lord is with thee.


So she went forward, and came to the man of God to mount Carmel. And when the man of God saw her coming towards, he said to Giezi his servant: Behold that Sunamitess.


Go therefore to meet her, and say to her: Is all well with thee, and with thy husband, and with thy son? And she answered: Well.


And one of his servants said: No one, my lord O king. But Eliseus the prophet, that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel all the words, that thou speakest in thy privy chamber.


My soul is weary of my life: I will let go my speech against myself. I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.


The heart that knoweth the bitterness of his own soul, in his joy the stranger shall not intermeddle.


The spirit of a man upholdeth his infirmity: but a spirit that is easily angered, who can bear?


For the Lord God doth nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.


Who answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying: Send her away, for she crieth after us:


And the multitude rebuked them that they should hold their peace. But they cried out the more, saying: O Lord, thou son of David, have mercy on us.


And behold Jesus met them, saying: All hail. But they came up and took hold of his feet, and adored him.


And they brought to him young children, that he might touch them. And the disciples rebuked them that brought them.


But Jesus said: Let her alone, why do you molest her? She hath wrought a good work upon me.


And standing behind at his feet, she began to wash his feet, with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.


I will not now call you servants: for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth. But I have called you friends: because all things whatsoever I have heard of my Father, I have made known to you.


And immediately his disciples came; and they wondered that he talked with the woman. Yet no man said: What seekest thou? or, why talkest thou with her?


As Anna had her heart full of grief, she prayed to the Lord, shedding many tears.
