Which of these three, does it seem to you, was a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?"


And he said to them: "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of men. But God knows your hearts. For what is lifted up by men is an abomination in the sight of God.


For, being ignorant of the justice of God, and seeking to establish their own justice, they have not subjected themselves to the justice of God.


For if Abraham was justified by works, he would have glory, but not with God.


And, since in the law no one is justified with God, this is manifest: "For the just man lives by faith."


Do you see that a man is justified by means of works, and not by faith alone?
