And when the young man had heard this word, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.


Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow, and then looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God."


Now Jesus was also invited to the wedding, with his disciples.


He said these things when he was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum.


It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh does not offer anything of benefit. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.


And his brothers said to him: "Move away from here and go into Judea, so that your disciples there may also see your works that you do.


Therefore, Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him: "If you will abide in my word, you will truly be my disciples.


Know this: that all those who are in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phigellus and Hermogenes.


Crescens has gone to Galatia; Titus to Dalmatia.


For my just man lives by faith. But if he were to draw himself back, he would not please my soul."


They went out from among us, but they were not of us. For, if they had been of us, certainly they would have remained with us. But in this way, it is made manifest that none of them are of us.
