13 And truly, Jehoash, the king of Israel, captured Amaziah, the king of Judah, the son of Jehoash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh. And he brought him to Jerusalem. And he breached the wall of Jerusalem, from the gate of Ephraim as far as the gate of the Corner, four hundred cubits.

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of the Chaldeans, ascended against him, and led him bound in chains to Babylon.


And the two choirs of those who gave praise stood still at the house of God, with myself and one half part of the magistrates who were with me.


And the people went forth and brought. And they made for themselves tabernacles, each one at his own dwelling, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.


Arrogance precedes destruction. And the spirit is exalted before a fall.


Humiliation follows the arrogant. And glory shall uphold the humble in spirit.


Behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when a city will be built for the Lord from the tower of Hananel, even to the Gate of the Corner;


And all the land will return even to the desert, from the hill of Rimmon to the South of Jerusalem. And she will be exalted, and she will dwell in her own place, from the gate of Benjamin even to the place of the former gate, and even to the gate of the corners, and from the tower of Hananel even to the pressing room of the king.


For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted."
